River location: Close to South Walsham Broad. The broad is accessed via Fleet Dyke from the River Bure. The dyke is narrow in places with sharp bends.
Facilities: Visitor moorings are before the broad on Fleet Dyke on the east bank. There are private moorings and facilities on the east side of the broad.
The free moorings in Fleet Dyke are a footpath walk to the road that accesses the broad. Moorings on the broad are restricted and the small village moorings and slipway to the south east of the broad are only suitable for rowing boats as they are very shallow. South Walsham Broad is a pleasant spot to drop the mud anchor. It is shallow in places and surrounded by woodland. to the east shore there are several private properties with their own moorings. It's about a mile walk to South Walsham village where there are pubs, village shops and a church.
