The Norfolk & Suffolk Broads C O L T I S H A L L
River location: Head of navigation on the River Bure
Facilities: Visitor moorings 1 mile east from the village (24hr Free). No other facilities. Petrol in village.
A one mile walk from the visitor moorings (24hr Free) west along the B1354 takes you past a Thai restaurant to the village where there is a store, petrol station and pubs. It is not recommended that you progress past the moorings, you can turn here, as the river becomes shallow and narrow and turning is difficult. RAF Coltishall is a mile away and St Johns Church is in the village. At the moorings is a pleasant common, frequented by ducks, and bounded by the river, the pub, and the road. The river can be shallow in places.
Pubs close by The Rising Sun NR12 7EA - Next to the moorings on the common. Bar food. The Kings Head 26 Wroxham Road, Coltishall NR12 7EA - 01603 737426
