The Norfolk & Suffolk Broads L O W E S T O F T
River location: Oulton Broad is some 2 miles to the west of Lowestoft - the closest navigable point for hire craft.
Facilities: Visitor moorings (Pay at Yacht Station) at Oulton Broad. Fresh water. Pub and shops nearby.
The river reaches the sea via sea locks at Oulton Broad and there are port facilities after the locks and onwards to the harbour where are many fishing vessels regularly offloading their catch. A fish market is close to the harbour entrance and there are buses and trains close to the Oulton Broad moorings. Lowestoft is a thriving, East coast seaside town.
