O U L T O N   B R O A D

River location: Oulton dyke, off the River Waveney. Sea locks to Lake Lothing and then the docks at Lowestoft. 

Facilities: Visitor moorings (Pay at Yacht Station) near the sea locks on the south bank. Fresh water. Pub and shops nearby.

Oulton Dyke, off the River Waveney, leads to Oulton Broad where sea locks separate the broad from the estuary. There are public moorings (pay) at the Yacht Station, near the lock at the end of the broad. Boatyards, private moorings, and a Sailing Club line the broad that can be busy and attracts many people to its park that lies to the south bank. There is a children's play park here, a boating lake, amusements, a putting course, and a large grassed play area. several pubs and shops are in the village and a short bus journey takes you to Lowestoft.
