River location: Upstream of Thurne Mouth on the River Thurne 

Facilities: Visitor moorings (24hrs Free) on the south bank before the old bridge. Pub and shops nearby.

One large store (Lathams) dominates the area around the bridge, along with a fish and chip shop, amusements and a river-side pub. The bridge is old and low and a bridge pilot will advise and assist your passage through it. A marina and boatyard here has a large fleet of hire boats and day trip boats are available near the bridge on both sides of the river. A bypass now keeps the main flow of traffic out of the village. Pleasant walks can be found along the banks and there is much riverside property stretching along both sides of the River Thurne. Fishing bait and tackle from Latham's.
