The Norfolk & Suffolk Broads S T A L H A M
River location: On Stalham Dyke off the River Ant in the northern most point of the Broads.
Facilities: Visitor moorings (24hr Free) at Stalham Staithe before the dykes housing the many boat hire boatyards. Facilities in various boatyards. Fresh water. Fuel.
Stalham is the most northern town on the Broads and the nearest access is from Stalham Dyke, east of the River Ant, there are several hire boatyards and marine services. The market town is a short walk north of Stalham Staithe across the A149 and there are shops, a supermarket, a petrol station and several pubs. Moving downstream on Stalham Dyke, Sutton Broad is crossed on the left leading to Sutton Staithe. There is a small marina here and a riverside pub. The Museum of the Broads, near the staithe, contains many historical objects and displays about the Broads.
