The Norfolk & Suffolk Broads W A Y F O R D B R I D G E
River location: On the River Ant in the northern most point of the Broads. Small boats could proceed further into Dilham Canal but it is difficult to turn there and the river is narrow. The Dilham Dyke, the left fork, leads to a small mooring and a pub.
Facilities: Visitor moorings at Wayford Bridge Hotel. Fresh water. Marina with hire boats and also day trip boats.
Wayford Bridge is on the A149 further upstream on the River Ant after the right turn for Stalham. The centre of attraction is the hotel and here there has been much development with house boats, a marina, and day boat hire. The hotel welcomes boat visitors and overnight mooring is available to patrons. Dilham is further on up the Dilham Dyke and here there is a fishery.
